Since ward construction was announced
Still Waiting

Counting from

The starting point

2 June 2022

The clock begins on 2 June 2022, when NHS Forth Valley announced that construction of its new inpatient ward had started. It measures the wait for that ward to open. The wider treatment centre has already delivered additional operating theatres and MRI capacity.

Where things stand

Awaiting the new inpatient ward

NHS Forth Valley’s project page continues to describe the 30-bed ward as awaiting completion. Its latest dedicated ward update, dated 27 February 2025, describes outstanding pipework and fire compliance issues, with a completion timetable dependent on an agreed solution. Interim treatment services are already operating.
